Future Art Exhibitions 2011
The gallery presents Colin's photographs of wildflowers of Western Australia (WA)- all taken in the Western Australia area. Each photograph is uniquely individual and is presented framed. Postcards of WA wildflowers are also available.
Colin has always had a love for wildflowers, and only since 2002 after relocating back to WA has he had the time to commence photographing these beautiful wonders.
He never enhances his pictures and may take up to 400 pictures of a particular flower until he is happy that he has captured its essence and beauty.
Colin also enjoys capturing photographs of insects and mushrooms on and around the wildflowers.
Some of the wildflowers that he has photographed are yet to be named while others are the classic known varieties.
He uses his strong eye for composition while photographing these minute flowers, insects and mushrooms. Colin has gained his eye for displaying minute structures from his main career as a research scientist in Nanotechnology and Green Chemistry at the University of Western Australia.
We display our works at exhibitions throughout Western Australia and we can also arrange private viewings.
